Dress (as top), Primark
Cardigan H&M |
One swallow might not make a summer, but now the spring rains have returned post-sunshine, maybe several swallows make a more summery me. I wore this dress a fair bit through the winter, but now it's now a little bit too short to be belted and worn as a dress with thanks to our campus laundry facilities that refuse to shrink my too big jeans and shrinks all the things which need their length.
Having seen the lovely Michelle over at
Daisybutter tucking in some of her dresses and longer tops, I decided this might be a good way to keep my dress, utilise it for spring and breathe some new life into it.
Yay or Nay to tucking in? Too much like being back at school or great new way to update an item and save shrunken ones?

A definite yay - it looks fab and you'd never know it was a dress rather than a top.
You look really lovely, xxx
I'm a tucking in fan!
I love the top! Primark have some really cute stuff at the moment, I definitely need to take a trip there!
Love the swallow pattern :) I think tucking in is a great way to re-style dresses, I think I'll have to do it more often! Sometimes I feel a little 90's, but I think with floaty tops/dresses it works great! xoxo
